While these vintage running shoes may boost your cool factor (or in some circles, street cred), they’re no match for modern technology and no treat for your feet.

“Many of these older running shoes are excellent for street walking as they have a firm sole and a more solid feel.  The problem is they are not designed for running or sports as they did not have the shoe technology back in the day that we have today,” advises Dr. Baravarian.
