Fluent in five languages (English, French, Spanish, Farsi and Hebrew), Dr. Bob Baravarian performed a comprehensive three-year residency at the University of Pittsburgh, Southside Hospital (formerly St. Francis Health System Residency Program). Prior to co-founding the University Foot and Ankle Institute, he served on staff at UCLA.
Dr. Baravarian is currently a member of UCLA Medical Group, chief of podiatric surgery at Santa Monica/UCLA medical center and Orthopedic Hospital and an assistant clinical professor at the UCLA School of Medicine. He is also editor emeritus of the international medical journal Foot and Ankle Specialist.

Dr. Gary B. Briskin, a lifelong sports enthusiast, maintains a special passion for hockey and running. He parlays that same spirit into all aspects of podiatry: sports medicine, arthritis prevention and reconstructive surgery.
In addition to his current work with the University Foot and Ankle Institute, Dr. Briskin also serves as an assistant clinical professor at the UCLA School of Medicine. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

After studying accounting and then leaning toward a physical therapy at Brigham Young University, Dr. Franson decided to pursue podiatry as his career. He then attended the School College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago followed by a three-year residency program at the Greater Los Angeles VA and UCLA County Hospital. His residency-training program included a lot of time in the hospital, emergency room, clinics, and operating room.
Dr. Franson specializes in several areas including total ankle replacement and sports medicine. Treating athletes and weekend warriors like himself brings him a lot of joy. “I love being able to provide true relief to the physical problems that people come see me about. I am one of those people who truly enjoy the personal interactions with my patients.”

Dr. Little’s journey into medicine began after he volunteered at local hospital while attending the University of Oklahoma (go Sooners). After a bit of research, he decided on podiatry, going on to receive his training at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine (SCPM) in Chicago.
After serving his residency at the Beverley Hills Medical Center, Little practiced in West Los Angeles and most recently in Pacific Palisades. Dr. Little is currently Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica. He is also on staff at Santa Monica/ UCLA Medical Center Hospital and the Surgery Center of Santa Monica.
Braxton, an avid cook, and his wife Nancy have three children. They all enjoy tennis, hiking, soccer and snow sports.

Dr. Sydney Yau is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle specialist and an Associate of College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Yau received his medical training at Temple University in Philadelphia and completed a three year comprehensive surgical residency at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He specialized in diabetic limb salvage, sports medicine, foot and ankle reconstruction and trauma. Dr. Yau completed surgical reconstruction fellowship with the University Foot and Ankle Institute, one of a only a few fellowships recognized by the American College Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Sydney spends his free time with his wife, they enjoy traveling, trying new foods and restaurants, hiking, snowboarding, and playing softball.

Dr. L. Mae Chandler is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle specialist and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Chandler completed a three-year comprehensive surgical residency at the University of Florida/Shands Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Chandler completed a reconstructive surgical fellowship with the University Foot and Ankle Institute, one of a few fellowships recognized by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Chandler’s emphasis on sports medicine, arthritis prevention, foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, and trauma care stems from an active personal life. She is also a trained in classical ballet.
Mae is still very active in ballet, yoga, running and bicycling. She and her husband enjoy the beach, camping, and participating in running events.

Dr. Jason Morris is a podiatric foot and ankle surgeon and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He completed a three year comprehensive surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center with emphasis on sports medicine, foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive surgery and diabetic limb salvage.
Prior to joining University Foot and Ankle Institute, Dr. Morris practiced in Chicago, where he was a consultant for the Chicago Marathon, Chicago Area Runners Association and local high schools. As a collegiate athlete, he developed a special interest in preventative medicine and treatment of sports related injuries. Dr. Morris also has interest and extensive experience in foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive surgery and arthroscopy.
