What is the RelēF Procedure?

RelēF (pronounced “relief”) is a non-invasive, office based procedure for relief of pain associated with persistent tendon and ligament disorders without surgery, injections, or downtime.

How does RelēF work?

RelēF Technology delivers radio frequency (RF) energy transcutaneously deep into the targeted tissue while protecting the upper layers (e.g., skin) with cooling to make the treatment safer and easily tolerated.

 

While the device cools the skin surface, the body’s own impedance to RF energy generates heat at very specific depth and temperatures up to 50°C, to achieve the desired outcomes – initiation of the wound healing response, without damaging surrounding tissue.

 

The actual treatment is delivered in “pulses of energy” lasting less than 3 seconds each. A full treatment consists of up to 100 pulses. There is little or no discomfort following the treatment.
