    Through a lapidus bunionectomy, looseness in the great to joint has been eliminated and the toe and been stabilized and realigned.

    An implant is used to resurface the arthritic metatarsal head and allow a return to normal, pain free range of motion of the joint.

    Great Toe Fusion

    In cases of severe arthritis the great toe joint can be fused to maintain anatomic position and eliminate pain. Metallic screws and plates are typically used to allow good fusion and early return to activity.
