Patient Reviews of University Foot and Ankle Institute

I was called by billing about my remaining portion of the bill. The amount seemed high and it turned out that although I had given both my Medicare and supplemental insurance cards to the front desk ( as I always do!), only the Medicare card was on record and so my secondary insurance hadn’t been billed! So I made a pdf of the secondary card and sent it in an email to the billing person who was very nice and helpful. I have not yet received an invoice with the final amount I owe but understand that the process can take time.

Had test to determine need for ultrasound re circulation to toes. No notice from you regarding ultrasound appointment. Called day before appointment for ultrasound and was told I needed to keep appointment. About an hour later was told I did not need to come in for the ultrasound appointment. You should have called earlier in the week so I could make alternate plans for the day of my appointment. Different answers to the same question does not help your credability

I always see Dr. Feldman in Westlake. Because of office flooding, I had to go to Chatsworth this time. I would probably never go back to the Chatsworth office again. Of course, it was overcrowded with both doctors' patients there. But, the environment was awful. Also, I got bitten by some kind of bug, as I noticed itching around my ankles when I left. Then, it was like an insect was under the skin of my ankles and digging trenches. Really. It spread and was terribly itchy. I think it was mites in the carpet of the waiting room. It took about 2 weeks for it to clear up, and was very itchy the whole time. I didn't go anywhere else that day, except home. You should have that carpet fumigated.

I appreciated the instant response I had to the plantar fascial pain I was experiencing in my left foot after Dr. Feldman taped my arch. After listening to my description of symptoms, he also diagnosed a sprain I had to a ligament in my left calf which has since resolved. Dr. Feldman also recommended inserts I have been wearing in my shoes since that time which has reduced my symptoms to almost imperceptible. I would recommend Dr. Feldman to anyone in search of a good podiatrist.

Dr. Jafary Is a Excellent surgeon, Extremely knowledgeable friendly polite and very courteous to his patients. He is a pleasure to talk to and explains your condition perfectly to you ,so you can understand. As a patient I feel extremely comfortable around him. I would highly recommend him/UFAI.
I believe he is a great asset to UFAL!!

Staff were helpful. Had to ask a few times for a copy of my surgery report. Things to improve include:please don't call me twice a week to remind me of appts. I have never missed an appt. This is very annoying. Dr. Franson has a great bedside manner and takes his time with patients.

Dr Redkar is a smart efficient communicative person. It was very easy to talk to her explain what was going on and she immediately diagnosed my situation.

I looked forward to my visits with her. And my experience was everything I was hoping it would be.

She’s stellar as far as I’m concerned.

The staff duplicated the doctor and provided a welcoming efficient experience from check in to the time I left.

The one part that I wasn’t necessarily thrilled with has to do with not being able to contact the Olympic office directly.

My communications if I’m correct always went to your Santa Monica office. Then, they were forwarded to that office to that individual.

It creates for me a sterile environment. I like to be able to call the office that I am visiting. I’d like to be able to write an email and not have a goes through a third-party.

The procedure you have in place seems a bit antithetical to the experience I had each time once I was in the office.

Needless to say, it was a bit jarring when I learned in a conversation that I was calling another office in another part of town and was unable to get the answer to my question or a resolution on the spot.

Having some pain issues that Motrin 600 Tid plus Tylenol aren’t solving completely will
Need maybe a Doz. or so Norco for breakthrough pain.
Weighting my left leg only on crutches is making a painful bone in bone contact. Other than that Dr. Bob and staff are Aces.

I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and had severe pain on the inner part of my left ankle. Dr. Baravarian injected it and I was cured from the pain, this was over a year ago. Now, my right ankle is acting up, so I pray that the doctor can work another miracle. I was not there to see the staff, but, everyone was polite. I could of been five minutes late and do not remember the receptionist treating me bad. Very happy with my visits and will travel to Santa Monica from North Glendale to see the doctor. He is that good!

Your computers were down, so the dr. didn't have access to my records and couldn't really update my condition. Every time I see him he seems to have a different take on what to do next. You also said you would call me to make another appointment (since the computers were down), but no one did so.

Excellent! Doctor is knowledgeable, caring. The 2 nice ladies that work in the office is a plus!
I've been in another clinic before coming here. There was the doctor who care less and a lot of staffs who do not care at all!!!

Hello. It’s was gratifying to find Dr. Baravarian and staff. As self paying clients we really were impressed with his professionalism and skill sets, along with those who assisted him, in surgery, and the staff pre and post surgery. Big thx to Cheli for price shopping our surgery and her patience coordinating our out of town requirements. The one small matter was post surgery and having nominal questions, because this was completely new to us, that we never received a reply to my email. The boot cast wasn’t fitting well and becoming very irritating and the questions of how to handle the after care. Overall, my wife and I both felt the experience was certainly above the norm and the surgery staff were exceptional. We spoken to many people, here in our Mesa resort, on who handle the surgery etc. Thnx Earl and Charlene Rhode.
