Professional at the same time personable! Dr. Fanson is awesome...his responding by email when you have a question, is refreshing. All doctors should be doing it. It makes for quicker response and less frustration. My only negative comment is when you call the office, you get a main operator for all the UFAI ‘s instead of the one you are using.

I actually didn't show as I was at the MPI insurance office because they cancelled me again even though they had no right to. I'm sorry about that and will reschedule when I know it is completely taken care of.

I very much appreciated the attentiveness and professionalism of UFAI Santa Barbara, including both doctor and staff. I was not rushed or pressured into any decision, but given many options and the pros and cons of both. The assistant was able to contact my insurance company and determine coverage before any decisions were made, which was really helpful!

More of a recommendation than a critique: apparently, the vast majority of doctors in Santa Barbara are connected to the Pueblo Radiology Medical Group (https://www.puebloradiology.com/), which facilitates transfer of x-rays and other medical imaging between health care centers and professionals in Santa Barbara. The x-ray center at UCSB Student Health was extremely surprised that UFAI was not connected to this system, and while I was able to get a CD of my x-ray and bring it in to Dr. Sirkar, UFAI should consider looking into this for your SB location.

Dr. Carter made me feel very comfortable and relaxed after being nervous about an ingrown nail that needed to be cut. Extremely nice person, explains things with great detail and genuinely makes you feel like everything will be alright. I would recommend him to anyone!

Thank you for x-raying a painful toe and thereby discovering it was fractured. Since then, however, I continue to have pain and can only wear a pair of loose "Top-siders". How long will the painful toe require to heal? Thank you. E.F. Tuttle

I rip my Achilles’ tendon from a large bone spur! It took a long time to heal after surgery. I had great care from Dr. Baravarian and his staff. There was not much left of my Achilles when I had the surgery. So the doctor also suggested to get the PPR shots during my recovery!!
Now I am doing much better!!! Thank you!

I am happy with Dr Carter’s care. He is interested, kind and helpful. I still don’t know what is causing the pain in my left foot, however, which a cortisone injection of my choosing has not helped. So I am stumped now as to what is the cause and how to treat it.
I do want to add something about the PT. I went twice and I had the impression that the manager, Greg is it? is not really into his work anymore. He never even looked at or touched my foot or calf to assess where pain was. I was put off by his manner and did not return.

Dr. Baravarian and his staff treated me well and took the time to go over all important information regarding my feet problems. I would definitely recommend the doctor to anyone looking for foot and ankle help.
