I have had orthotics fitted by two other doctors prior to Dr. Johnson. His orthotics have given me the best fit and reduced the pain from walking on arthritic knees.

I have made a full recovery from my foot surgery since this past year. I needed a slight tweek of my orthotic post surgery/recovery and after doing that most recently I am back 100% walking 5 miles again pain free!

Dr. Kelman and his nurses and staff are all amazing in how they care for my father who has Alzheimer's Dementia. They make him feel safe and comfortable so that he has no anxiety about going to his appointments. I wish more doctors were like Dr. Kelman.

Very nice facility. Dr. Gary Briskin was very kind to explain the things that is needed to make my condition better. The staff are nice and welcoming. The only suggestion is maybe the staff need to smile more. :-)

Dr. Briskin and staff were exactly what you want and need from a doctor. I wish he was my actual PCP he's that good.
He listened to my situation and literally made me feel heard--finally! He didn't blow off my symptoms as nothing like so many doctors have done -- even my PCP.
Dr. Briskin knew right away what I was potentially facing with an autoimmune disorder that caused my situation based on just LISTENING to my symptoms.
(Symptoms that another podiatrist with "42yrs experience" didn't bother to listen to and literally laughed in my face - not kidding, he laughed in my face - thinking I was making things up. As if anyone would want to make up deformed looking feet that came out of nowhere in a matter of weeks. )
Can't recommend Dr. Briskin and the University Foot and Ankle Institute, Santa Monica enough!! The only thing I wish was improved was that they were integrated with MyChart for streamlined labwork sharing, but I'll take a great doctor over computer software preference:)!

I was very happy with my treatment. I've been to orthopedic doctors for other reasons and was given scant information and rushed through my appointments. Podiatrist Dr. Johnson took the time to show me the x-rays and explain everything thoroughly. He came up with a 5-point plan to address my ankle/foot pain that didn't involve surgery or cortisone (the seemingly routine prescription from orthopedic doctors) and now I am on my way to being pain free. I rate him 10 out of 10!
