I did not realize that if I have my credit card at check I’m I would have been spared a 60 minute wait.
After I realized that by seeing so many other patients be seen ahead of me, I double checked that was the missing link and I gave my credit card and was seen soon thereafter.
I had not been a patient t here for over 3 years so was not I. System think. It all worked out

The billing department could be improved. You demand payment up front even if your insurance pays for it , then it takes 4-5 months to be reimbursed and that is with multiple calls to billing. After finally being sent out a check, billing made a $380 check out to my 14 year old son(patient)instead of the parent who’s insured and paid. Asking for a credit card to be on file so you can charge it whenever you want, without any follow up email receipts comes off predatory. I have to take time out of my schedule to call billing to ask for a receipt. The setup seems backward, if I spend more time calling you to get explanations and my money reimbursed. Our doctor is great but the billing makes me have second thoughts about making future appointments.

I got major attitude from the assistant I asked to change out of latex gloves. I have a verified allergy, and this has been an issue in your office previously.
There’s also a lack of clarity about what now I ended up costing, and why I was charged a $35 co-pay every time I saw the doctor for literally two minutes. I really like Dr. Briskin, but this process got really long and complicated and worse, spanned two plan years. Not happy!
Also, twice I was told that’s someone called and left a message that my orthotics were ready. I only have one phone number, there were no messages, and there was no indication that someone had called and didn’t leave a message. Consequently I lost probably two months, altogether.
Now for the good stuff: the office is exceptionally clean, which I appreciate it, and Covid Management is done well.

The doctor took no time to get to know me or my complaints. My orthotics are not particularly comfortable, and I actually would not recommend the practice to anyone. Disappointing but my HMO's only referral.

Billing System and timing of insurance claims was not a clearly understood process. We would receive notice of payment from the insurer well before showing reimbursements from UFAI. We understand the complexity and human resource constraints but as a couple sharing the same health care plan and HSA account, our deductibles would have been met faster if billing and submissions to insurance carriers was faster and more timely.
