With its professional and experienced group of doctors and support personnel, University Foot & Ankle Institute was my very wise choice when moving forward with bunion surgery. Dr. Gary Briskin is friendly and accessible, with his many years of expertise made clear by the process and positive outcome. His assistant, Dr. Abimbola Johnson brought his own ease and expertise to the table.

Despite the many warnings I got from the well-meaning—"I hear bunion surgery is SO painful!"—my own experience was surprisingly easy and manageable, with only brief, moderate pain, and, even with a couple of post-op "tweaks" needed to fine-tune the final product, a quick recovery.

Support staff Enrique, Adrian, Cheli, Jessica, and all the rest were wonderful to work with. I was always quickly brought into my appointments, treated respectfully and thoroughly, and always felt comfortable and considered.

Excellent. Out of all my appointments over ten months there was only one scheduling glitch; otherwise everything and everyone was top-notch. I appreciated Dr. Briskin's easy manner and affable interactions—and, of course, his clear expertise; Dr. Johnson is wonderful, as are Enrique, Jessica, Cheli, et al. My feet look and feel pretty great (I'm still working on getting back to my walking speed!), so it was overall a very positive experience.

The receptionist are polite, respectful and helpful. The medical assistants are friendly and understanding. I needed a travel letter and a letter for my work and they were able to provide it the same day with in 5-10 minutes. The doctor listen and take the time to answer questions. During the treatment he was supportive. Overall it was a great experience. The only annoying thing is the cancellations of two of my appointments, but I understand that stuff happens.

A scraping procedure on both heels - less than ten minutes - and the sharp pains are gone. Not only is walking back to normal, so is running - resumed next day. Fantastic treatment! Cannot be happier. Many sincere thanks.

Excellent, Dr briskin, my surgeon, wonderful great job with minimal pain. He explain everything and made me feel very trusting and calm. Dr Johnson, for his kindness, listen to my issues and helping to solve the problems immediately. After the surgery, he came back out to rewrap my cast for me when it was pressing on my ankle and very painful. I am very grateful to him and to the care I receive from both Dr. Briskin and Dr. Johnson.

Thank you so much Dr. Briskin and team for the great visit. I would not hesitate to schedule a visit with UFAI in the future. The appointment was on time and the doctor was very kind and communicative. The office called me back a few days later with an estimate for the surgery which was reasonable and I extremely appreciated that as well. This office may be a tad more expensive than others but the knowledge/experience in the industry is WORTH IT. You end up paying more in the long run if you are misdiagnosed else where. Cannot say thank you enough!

Dr. Briskin took care of my feet. He is so personable and competent and I will return in 2 months to him. I forget the name of the therapist…..she was also excellent. Thank you for taking such good care of us. Great energy and customer service in that office. A caring doctor a good office staff.

The staff is very kind and professional. Also, with reasonable payments. Depending if you have insurance or not. The doctor was also very kind and professional with his patients. Very helpful and take care of the pain. Nurses were also kind and professional as well.
