Staff did good job of listening as well as examining. Appointment moved along at a decent speed. I did not spend more than a few minutes waiting at every juncture. Full marks for them finishing up with an acknowledgement that the first solution might not fix the problem but that it was the best way to start.

In hindsight I would like to have seen the MRI showing my neuroma. I have not made up my mind about having more surgery. Seeing what is actually happening in my foot might help me make the decision. And I really would like to talk to someone who has had this surgery. Dr Baravarian suggested I could hang out in his waiting room and talk to patients. I'd rather have a few numbers to call. I will go online to see what people have said about this surgery.

The doctor seemed in a hurry this time unlike previous times.I have been coming o=in for over a year now. The assistant/student who helped me was brand new and did not appear to be well trained like the others I have seen previously. He did not offer to assist me with my injured foot to prepare to get x-rays. the others perviously helped me. And in the x-ray room he did not help me put on the heavy vest as others did before. And when I needed to move the angle of my foot to get another view for x-ray, he moved me manually with his hand, not gently, as the others did not do this, they asked me to position it myself which I know how to do. Lastly when finished usually the assistant checks to see if I am okay and need any assistance to get dressed to leave. he was nowhere to be found. And he did not check to see if it was time to trim my toe nails as the other aids always did. I do realize these things happen sometimes and was unlike any previous visit and I hesitated to say this at this time but in your message you stated you wanted to hear the truth, I hope you meant that. there seemed to have been a turnover of many staff members this visit and many new staffers.

I could have used more details as to what I could and couldn't do between the time of the procedure and my return visit 3 weeks later. Even if it was just on the printed paper about the procedure - I wish that went into more detail about the do's and don'ts.

I've been going to UFAI for 6 years through 2 neuromas, 2 cheilectomies and 2 joint manipulations and am happy with all of the folks there. If I have a suggestion it is to build more info on a patient into your system. For example, I've gotten 10-12 orthotics from UFAI since 2012 but each time someone giving them to me asks if I have ever worn orthotics before. I'm not suggesting I'm some sort of needy person that needs to be treated specially but as a fan of UFAI but if the conversation started with "how are your older orthotics holding up? is there anything to the next pair you think we should adjust?" etc than something impersonal ("have you ever worn orthotics before?") it would be a nice from a customer service perspective.

I have been a patient here for many years. The doctors , nurses , and thew staff are wonderful. They treat you with respect and truly care about the patients. I have already recommended them to my father , mother, and friends who have already been in the office to get care. THANK YOU for all the great care.

The Sherman Oaks location is distressed and out dated. The white doors in the exam rooms are dirty and the entire place feels old and unsanitary. Not an appropriate location. You need to upgrade to a new building or should consider another location altogether like Calabasas, Westlake Village or Thousand Oaks. There are several new beautiful medical facilities there.

I would like to know the cause of my current foot problem, or what the doctor might suggest is the cause. I thought I would never have another problem with my foot after my surgery 8 years ago. It was a fixed foot, and I've worn my New Balance shoes and orthotic inserts in them almost religiously, so I'm at a loss as to why I have the torn tendon. My only exercise is moderate walking, because I need a knee replacement on my left knee, so I can't walk as much as I'd like. Please don't tell me it's just old age, even if that's the cause. (Joke.) I had suffered with Morton's Neuroma for over 7 years. I tried cortisone shots, orthotic inserts, alcohol shots and these treatments took the edge off, but they were never permanent. The past 2 years, the cortisone shots didn't work at all. I had been to 4 foot doctors before finding Dr. Baravarian. I had read good reviews about him and decided to try a new foot doctor. After hearing my story, he told me to stop getting cortisone shots as they were doing more damage than good. He suggested surgically removing the neuroma as I was one of the cases that conservative measures were not going to provide pain relief.

I was concerned because I saw horror stories all over the internet of failed surgeries and of neuromas growing back. He assured me that his success rate was high and that if I happened to be one of the cases that it didn't work, he would come up with a course of action then. I drove him crazy with lots of emails, but he was always patient with me and responded quickly. I finally surrendered and decided to go forward with the surgery.

When the surgery was over, he told me that the neuroma was much larger than he had anticipated, in short: that thing had to go! My recovery has been a lot easier than I thought it would be. He prescribed physical therapy for the first 4 weeks post-surgery. His P.T. team is fabulous! They helped expedite my healing and taught me so much about what I can do at home to help speed healing.

I am at week 5 post surgery. I am wearing tennis shoes and riding my bike! The best part is, the neuroma pain and tingling is GONE! I never thought that the weird painful tingly feeling emanating from my right foot would be gone. I am still in the healing process, but I am optimistic that my neuroma nightmare is over. I highly recommend Dr. Baravarian for any foot issues. He and his team are awesome!

The care Dr Baravarian and his team provided me was simply the best. His diagnosis, surgery and follow up have resulted in my feeling better and being able to be more active than I have been in 7 years. I can't thank them enough.
