  • While flat feet in children are a fairly common problem, it's important to have them evaluated by a specialist to avoid future complications.

  • An ankle sprains when it's twisted or turned too far. While common, unique problems occur when not properly treated and becomes a chronic condition.

  • The growth plate is the weakest point in the bone If fractured and left untreated, the injury can stunt the bone’s growth.

  • Also know as Sever’s disease, this occurs during puberty when the heel bone grows a lot faster than the leg muscles and tendons.

  • Also called Freiberg’s Infraction, this painful condition often affects young athletes, causing tiny metatarsal breaks and bone collapse.

  • This condition occurs when an extra piece of bone material forms above the arch on the inside of the foot. It's often unnoticed until there's pain or irritation in the area.

  • You can help your child’s feet to develop as naturally as possible by choosing the right footwear and providing her with plenty of opportunity to exercise.

  • Many everyday foot and ankle issues that children encounter can be effectively managed with custom molded orthotics.
