Flo at the 30th Anniversary LA Marathon
Heartfelt congratulations to one of our favorite patients, Flo, who made a swift, full recovery from injury and was able to complete the LA Marathon on March 15!
Flo is an avid runner, and the proud owner of Runner’s Lane, a running shoe store with locations in Santa Clarita and Palmdale.
Flo injured her knee and ankle while navigating a tricky technical descent during the Sean O’Brien 50K Trail Race in Malibu back in February of this year. When it looked like Flo would be sidelined for a full schedule of races ahead of her, she sought professional help from her long-time foot and ankle specialist.

Flo’s Injury
Suzanne, who works at our Valencia office, remembers the day Flo came in after her injury. “She was limping from a severely sprained knee and ankle.”
Flo thought there was no way she’d be running in her next race, only two short weeks away.
Suzanne made quick work of treating Flo. She put together a rigorous treatment plan, complete with office visits, at-home exercises, and a schedule to slowly re-introduce Flo’s body to exercise.
With the help of Suzanne’s physical therapy team and regular visits to her chiropractor, Flo was back on the trail in time for the Bandit 30K Trail Race, as well as the 30th Anniversary LA Marathon on March 15.
Flo now runs pain-free, and still keeps in touch with Suzanne. Suzanne happily reported that “Flo recently finished the Cheseboro Half Marathon with no trouble at all from her knee or ankle.” Congratulations, Flo, we are proud of you!
